• 1985 – Lead Edge Feeding SUN invented the lead edge feeder, a breakthrough that redefined corrugated sheet feeding and remains an industry standard.
• Retrofits & Service
  Early growth came from retrofits, parts, and customer support, laying the foundation for SUN’s reputation as a service-driven partner.
• 1999 – MicroGrind® Patented This innovation in anvil conditioning improved print quality and consistency, reinforcing SUN’s commitment to engineering excellence.

• 2001 – Supporting Langston SUN extended its expertise to Flexo support, strengthening customer performance with retrofit parts and service.
• Parts & Service Global Expansion Acquisitions and new facilities in England and China marked SUN’s first international footprint, ensuring global customers had local access to parts and support.
• 2012 – RDC Launch The debut of the SUN625 Rotary Die Cutter brought precision, reliability, and speed to converters worldwide.

• 2016 – CorrStream® Launch Partnering with Domino, SUN introduced the first single-pass digital printer designed for corrugated, setting a new standard in high-quality, short-run packaging.
• 2019 – Strategic Collaborations Expanded partnerships and global representation with Latitude, Kolbus, and PARA, reinforcing SUN’s industry leadership and innovative strength. These alliances expanded SUN’s portfolio across automation, finishing, and converting — ensuring customers worldwide have access to integrated solutions supported by SUN’s global service network.
• 2021 – Helios Helios was the first AI and machine learning platform built for corrugated, moving beyond traditional monitoring to give customers actionable insights that protect productivity and profitability.
